Bears injury report

by - Senior Editor -

The Chicago Bears announced on Wednesday their injury report as they prepare for Sunday's rivalry game with the Green Bay Packers.

Bears safeties Eddie Jackson (ankle) and Jaquan Brisker (groin) were limited as well as defensive end DeMarcus Walker (calf).

Linebacker Dylan Cole's ankle hamstring injury has him on the dreaded 'DNP' for Wednesday's practice.

The best news of the day is that Brisker is getting healthier and healthier by the day and might be able to start alongside Jackson on game day.

“Just execution, and I want to see the speed,” said Eberflus recently about Brisker. “I want to see the speed that he’s able to play at, which he’s exhibited that over the last workouts and the last practice that we had. So just excited to see that and his communication with Eddie, Kyler (Gordon) and the rest of the defense. That’s been good, so just excited to see him going full speed.”

Brisker had 73 solo tackles, four sacks, and an interception last season.

The Bears seem to be fairly healthy, as most of the starters are a full-go as we await the regular season.

"We have everybody back (and) available to us," Eberflus said.

For the Packers, standout young receivers Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs are both not practicing today with injuries.

The Bears and the Packers will get it going at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday from Soldier Field.
