CHICAGO - After suffering their fourth loss of the season, the Chicago Bears are looking to get back in the winning column against the Cleveland Browns on Sun. Dec. 14 (Noon / FOX). Cleveland is also coming off a loss after dropping their game against the Tennessee Titans 31-29.

The Bears enter this game as 7.5-point favorites according to DraftKings, with the over / under currently at 38.5. The over / under is quite low; however, this is probably more attributable to the weather since there are supposed to be 20-mile-per-hour winds. However, Chicago is coming off a game in which they scored 21 points, and Cleveland just scored 29. While both were in losing efforts, it shows their offenses are able to put up points, and their defenses tend to give up points. Therefore, the over will hit in this game. The payout on a $5 bet for the over to hit (-115) is $9.34.

Chicago has a tendency this season to play in one-score games. In fact, eight of their games this season have been decided by seven points or less. Furthermore, Cleveland’s offense has been more productive with rookie Shedeur Sanders at quarterback. Their rookie running back, Quidshon Judkins, has also been productive. Therefore, the Browns will keep this game close, and thus, the Bears will not cover the spread. The payout on a $5 bet for Chicago not to cover the spread (-110) is $9.54.

Player Props

Running the ball has always been a staple in Chicago. Head coach Ben Johnson has brought that back to the Bears after they had one of the worst running games last season. However, the Bears have a two-headed monster in D’Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai. With the weather, both have the potential to generate some yards. Monangai has a touchdown in four of the past five games and has seen consistent production since his performance against the New Orleans Saints. While he did not score a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers last week, he will find the endzone against Cleveland. The payout on a $5 bet for Monangai to score a touchdown (+140) is $12.

Swift has at least 60 rushing yards in each of the last two games and in seven games this season. Cleveland tends to be a bit stingy in the run game. However, the Bears will be running the ball frequently throughout this game, and Swift will be an important part of that plan. Therefore, Swift will have at least 60 rushing yards against Cleveland. The payout on a $5 bet for Swift to have at least 60 rushing yards (+116) is $10.80.

Rookie wide receiver Luther Burden III has seen his role in the offense increase in the past few weeks. In fact, he has at least five targets in each of the past four games. Chicago’s top receiver, Rome Odunze, is questionable after missing last week against Green Bay. Even if he plays, he will not be 100 percent in this game. While the run game will be important for Chicago, especially with the weather, the Bears still need to throw the ball. Therefore, Burden III will have at least five receptions in this game. A $5 bet for Burden III to have at least five receptions (+162) would have a payout of $13.10.

Same-Game Parlay

A same-game parlay with the over hitting, Chicago not covering the spread, Monangai scoring a touchdown, Swift having at least 60 rushing yards, and Burden III having at least five receptions (+5000) would have a payout of $255.

DraftKings Featured Parlay - “Clean Slate”

This four-legged parlay features Chicago’s quarterback Caleb Williams, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye not throwing an interception. None of the quarterbacks in this parlay is playing a defense that is top-five in interceptions, and all of them have been good about taking care of the football. In fact, all four of these quarterbacks have six or fewer interceptions this season. A $5 bet on this parlay (+678) would have a payout of $38.90.
