It's really happening, Bears fans.

Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced during his unscheduled media availability on Wednesday afternoon that rookie quarterback Justin Fields will get the start on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

"Justin's [Fields] our starter," Nagy said.

Fields is 8-of-15 passing for 70 passing yards, one rushing touchdown, and one interception for the season.

"I think I’m ready," he said to the media. "I’ve been preparing for this moment for a long time."

Nagy also said that veteran quarterback Andy Dalton is currently "week to week" with his left knee bone bruise.

Veteran quarterback Nick Foles will be the backup Sunday, and the plan is for Dalton to be the starter again once he is 100 percent healthy.
